A book cover designed by yours truly.
I took a freelance project with BookLeaf Publishing, a platform dedicated to assisting upcoming authors in getting their work published. They provide comprehensive support, including marketing and printing services.
My primary goal for this project is to create a book cover that perfectly aligns with the title, theme, and perspective of the author. By doing so, I aim to capture the essence of the book and attract the target audience effectively

This book is a poetry collection with various poems reflecting different feelings. The title of the book is 'My Remains.' Now, the challenge is to design a symbolic book cover, but what it should look like - that was the biggest issue.

I created an outline of a human face. I designed its body in a way that, after coloring, it would resemble a stand. To depict scattered thoughts, I used dots. I attempted to make the face and body a symbol of the world, so I created a map-like pattern with the dots representing scattered thoughts.

‘’Her poems initially revolved around her dreams, nightmares and other experience of life through a child's eyes. sneaking out on a surreal voyage every night among whales in the starry light and most importantly navigating life a as woman.’’
To bring these themes to life on the book cover, I have created captivating illustrations. Inside the silhouette of a woman, I have intricately woven depictions of whales and clouds, symbolizing the dreamlike escapades she embarks upon each night. The whales symbolize strength and wisdom, while the clouds evoke a sense of boundless imagination and wonder.
The combination of these elements aims to capture the essence of the book and entice readers with its enchanting and empowering storytelling.
